Bollywood's TOP Actors of 2019 | Who is the best actor in Bollywood right Now

Rajkummar Rao, no doubt!

When you see it in a movie, you don't see Rajkummar Rao "the actor", you see the character.

Look at some of their roles and you'll notice two things:

Ragini MMS:

He played an aspiring actor, who goes to a secluded place with his girlfriend, with the ultimate goal of recording it without his knowledge.

Shaitan:

He played a cunning policeman, who tracks the malefactors (the main characters), but asks for a bribe to abandon the case.

Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2:

He played the role of a little thug named Shamshad Alam

Kai Po Che:

He played the role of a nerd, who falls in love with his best friend's sister.

Shahid:

He played the role of Shahid Azmi, known for defending the defendants in terrorism cases, including some of the defendants in the Mumbai attacks in 2008.

Citylights:

He played a poor farmer from Rajasthan who came to Mumbai in search of livelihoods.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani:

He played the role of an obsessed husband, a complex human being.

Trapped:

he played a man trapped inside his own apartment, struggling to get out.

Raabta:

played the role of a 324 year old man

Points to consider:

None of their roles are repetitive. In Bollywood, where actors are known to get the same crappy story over and over again, their role choice is phenomenal.

Even if the movie fails to have a general impact, it always does its part without problems. I have never heard a negative / average review of their performance.

His role in Talaash was not more than 5 minutes, but still managed to excel.

This is what Rajeev Masand, the famous critic, said about his performance:

"... Rajkumar Rao takes only one scene, in which he is simply a spectator with a single line of dialogue, to show what a good actor can bring even in a small part."

In his next film, Newton, he plays a rookie government employee sent on election service. The film won the prize of the International Federation of Art Cinemas at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.
